For the past few years since its formation in 2006, Residence Hall Council has been a major authority on-campus as far as programming goes. Unlike SocComm, the only major programming organization before 2006, RHC targets WPI’s residential community exclusively. Composed almost entirely of on-campus students, RHC has a unique perspective regarding the interests of current on-campus students.
RHC’s first major program in its founding year was Pizza Wars. This event drew hundreds of students and has since become an annual event, getting bigger and receiving more participation each year.
Unless you live in the halls themselves, you probably only see the large programming side of RHC, but we do a considerable amount of programming for individual halls. Planning and executing these small, hall-specific programs is done entirely by students living in those very halls.RHC does not want to bring events to you that we want you to be interested in; we help you decide your own events that we know you are interested in.
